You haven’t achieved last year’s goals and you’re hesitant to do another meaningless vision board. I feel you, sister. It’s not because you’re lazy, but because you did it wrong. So how about we do something more intentional this year?
– for the short version, skip to the step-by-step guide –
I know it‘s exciting to look for pretty photos on Pinterest and stick them to a board, but can you really envison these things? I’ll show you how you can actually get your dream life.
Just like manifestation doesn‘t work without you feeling the feelings, your vision board doesn‘t work if you just put on it how your life should look from the outside.

Let‘s change perspectives. Think: Not you looking hot because you finally lost the weight, but you shopping for veggies or meal prepping or feeling exhausted at the gym daily. Envision the process and how you are feeling during the process. Because of course the result is your goal but your goal self IS a regular walker and healthy eater and gym goer. She has already established the habits your dream-self has.
Another example: If you want to be rich, instead of putting pictures of money stacks or shopping sprees, look for how you would feel and what you would do in the process of getting the money. How nervous do you feel sending out the email with the cooperation confirmation or how excited are you pitching to investors or even how you’re struggling with a task you never did before.
It‘s not just envisioning. It‘s who you are becoming – hence Becoming Board.
Side note: You don‘t need to have exclusively positive emotions to manifest. A lot of times our negative emotions are even stronger than the positive ones. Use them! Someone treated you wrong and you are mad? Use this boost to kick-start your success. You’re sad because you woke up at noon even though you wanted to start working early? Use this guilt to push yourself even more. And if you think this is toxic, then worry no more. You can think about changing this “toxicity” as soon as you achieve your goals. Also, be honest: You cannot always have a good mood and you shouldn‘t. Sometimes you cannot control what happens to you. The only thing you can control is how you react to it and you definitely should use all of your emotions strategically to achieve your goals. Be mad, be fierce, be loving, be calm, cry, scream, sing, dance. It will bring you closer to whatever you draw it to.
Here‘s your 4-step guide to a successful 2026:

1. Write down your goals for the next year.
Categories can be career, friendship & relationship, health, wisdom, creativity, finances, etc.
2. Think about how the person is, that has already achieved this goal.
This is the same as what you have to do on your way to your goal. Is she going on a walk in nature daily and breathing in the fresh air? Is she waking up early and doing the hard ugly tasks first?
3. Look for pictures
…that capture the feeling of you being how you want to be and doing what has to be done to get there. Put them on your Becoming Board with a picture of yourself in the middle.
4. Most important step is: Look at your Becoming Board regularly.
Let the feelings of the pictures sink in. Even the fatigue after the gym. And then act how you want to feel.

Your thoughts of today will be your future in 5 years. If you don‘t believe me, remember what you dreamt about 5 years ago.
As always: I‘m so proud of you and I know that you‘ll become who you want to be.
